HPYC Club By-Laws
Under the Club Rules it has the power to establish by-laws for the conduct of members, their guests and visitors. Since HPYC is a private members club its sales of alcohol are conducted under a Club Certificate rather than a Justice's Licence. This imposes a number of constraints, which the club is obliged to observe. We expect all members and visitors to support us by complying with these by-laws. For a full review of the By-Laws please download the HPYC By-Laws.pdf.
Of particular importance are the regulations regarding admission. Members, their guests and bonfide visiting yachtsmen only may enter the club. Guests must be signed in on each occasion by the introducing member. The by-laws state that no person may visit as a guest more than 6 times in any one year. Please also note that Suffolk Yacht Harbour Berth Holders do not qualify as visitors and may only be admitted as guests and signed in on each occasion by a member.
