Due to early completion of latest scheduled maintenance work, Ipswich Local Notice to Mariners 11/2020 is now withdrawn. The Prince Phillip Lock at Ipswich will be re-open as per normal entry/exit procedures to all users commencing Wednesday 18 th November 2020. Mariners and Port Users are advised that due to essential works on behalf of ABP, Ipswich Lock will be closed for all vessels during the following period : Thursday 5thNovember from 0600hrs ~ 1400hrs. Many congratulations to Bill Smith who has just been awarded an MBE in recognition for his services to sailing. Bill who created the East Anglian School of Sailing many years ago and then was a founder member of EAST which started 25 years ago and is based at SYH. Bill and his team have taken disabled and visually impaired people of all ages sailing and built the riverside centre, recognised as a Sailability Training Centre of Excellence.
