Latest Covid Update
Published 12:37 on 1 Oct 2020
As I am sure you are all aware the situation with Covid 19 is ever changing.
As of the 24th September it became mandatory to follow the new Government regulations for Hospitality. Since then the recent change announced in Tier levels has come into play but for the moment this is not affecting the protocols we already have in place at the Club.
As you may know, we have moved dining inside using the Cromer Room, Snug and seats in the bar area. This can be achieved because we will not have members queuing at the bar.
From today we ask members:
To book in advance including menu choices where possible, to provide contact details for NHS Track and Trace, these will be securely kept for 21 days then destroyed.
It will also be a legal retirement to display the official NHS QR code poster, the App can be downloaded onto a smart phone and is a way to speed up Tack and Trace notifying individuals of an outbreak. However we appreciate not everyone has a smart phone or takes it into the club. We will continue to record details as before, we will still require the phone contact of one member from each group.
We will not be able to accept bookings from groups of more than 6 and any non-compliant venues could face penalties or be forced to close.
We have placed a door bell outside the main entrance for members wishing to enter. On arrival ring and you will be greeted by a member of staff and allocated a table. We will be providing table service only, for both food and drinks.
As we are in an enclosed area all members, visitors and staff are required to wear a face covering that covers nose and mouth, therefore visors are not acceptable, these can only be removed when eating and drinking.
We will continue to carrying out cleaning and observe Covid safe practices.
Unfortunately as we are inside, we will no longer be able to welcome dogs into the club, this has been allowed on the open decks.
Whilst it is mandatory to adhere to these regulations, we want to continue to welcome you to the club and enjoy our hospitality. I am sure you are aware the requirements are constantly changing and providing a service in and old light vessel is challenging.
We look forward to seeing you in the Club and most important, stay safe.
